St. Andrew Preschool is a Christian Preschool in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. The preschool serves children one and walking through age six. We are located in a beautiful and safe facility within St. Andrew United Methodist Church. We have a well trained and highly educated staff as well as a developed curriculum per age group. In addition, we offer low-student to teacher ratios, a fantastic music program, and a high quality faith based curriculum which is linked to the St. Andrew Children's Ministry.
Philosophy
We believe that preschool children learn best when they are actively engaged and when they have the opportunity to thoroughly explore, question, investigate, and manipulate objects in their environment. In addition, we believe our job is to develop the whole child through enriching and engaging activities and loving and caring interactions.
Curriculum
Our curriculum focuses on play-based learning. Through play, children have the opportunity to work and play with others, to express themselves creatively and spiritually through music, art, and dramatic play. Through play, we support children as they learn to communicate feelings and ideas, and to develop their cognitive and physical skills. Our preschool curriculum places emphasis on the process and experiences, not necessarily on the product

St. Andrew Preschool is going through a voluntary rating system called Colorado Shines. It is based on 5 levels. Currently, St. Andrew is a level 2. Levels 3 through 5 require someone to come and evaluate our classrooms. The teachers have completed 10 hours of Level 2 training and participated in lots of staff development. In the next two years, we plan to work toward Level 5.

What is the Student-Teacher ratio?
- Each class is assigned two teachers for the year (this exceeds state mandated regulations), which ensures a stronger, more stable relationship between teachers and students. Four of our staff members are medically trained and can dispense medicines and monitor some special needs. Our student body ranges between 200-250 teachers and 35 staff.
- Is there a sibling discount?
Yes, you will receive a 5% discount off of full tuition for your second, third, fourth, etc child.
